So. I am not dead. Just… don’t even ask. And I am posting some stuff I kinda like before my assessment, whilst I still feel good about it. Graphic novel loosely based on the Musicians of Bremen… involving ghosts. And Burglars.

These are three of my six outcomes for a uni project entitled “The Dogs”. We had to create 6 illustrations using various different techniques.
These three are my favourite which my tutors seemed to reaaally like, and I’m really quite pleased with myself (though please do excuse the scans- I’ll replace them with better ones asap, but the uni A3 scanner wasn’t cooperating and I was in a hurry…)
So yes, that’s first deadline of the year out of the way. Yay!

These two are my least favourite (not even showing the third), though my tutors seemed to really like them. Other three coming up in a minute!

A page from my visual journal summer project.
In response to the word “untamed”- I got the idea whilst looking at my parents’ garden when I was at home.
EDIT: A cleaned up version now available as a print on my Society6 shop :) Click here!
Finally done. Acrylic, emulsion and ink on board.
EDIT: I’ve turned this into a print on society6 if anyone is interested!
My first test swatch from Spoonflower.com :)
It’s come up pretty so well so I’ve put the design up for sale if anyone is interested in it. Link is here:

Alexandra Turner-Piper - an Illustration student from somewhere between Preston and Lincoln in the United Kingdom.
I mostly enjoy using watercolour, acrylic and inks on board, though I do like to experiment with digital techniques, collage and paper cutting. I particularly want to improve in the areas of character design, concept art and storyboarding. I am also very interested in book arts and editorial illustration. If you would like to contact me regarding my illustration, feel free to send me an ask and we'll have a chat :) You can now like me on facebook too :)
